It's what's called Production Music, and within the pages of "Write, Record & Sell Production Music" you're going to learn how to make a great living writing, recording and selling your music. You may already have a catalog of Production Music ready for the music business and not even know it. Your music may just need some detailed refinements. This program will explain everything you need to know to get into the business now. If your music is instrumental OR includes vocals, this production music program is for you. If you're in a band, this is an opportunity for you as well. Every style or genre of music is needed.

Many advertising agencies, film and television companies, video game developers and video production companies use Production Music every day. When they need music to create a specific mood or to hit a certain genre, they usually reach for Production Music. Many Production Music libraries supply their music on CDs, DVDs, hard drives, or on the internet. For the content producer, it can be as easy as grabbing a CD off the shelf or looking online to get just the right music. No need for calling bands, asking favors of musicians or trying to license a track from The Beatles for $1 million-plus per song. This is where Production Music soars.

This program is designed to help you understand what Production Music is and how to get a music job started today.

Very few musicians even know about this side of the music business. This is your chance to get into it now. Read on ... this is about YOUR music career.

ArrowLearn To Write & Record Production Music. »
Write, Record & Sell Production Music was designed to reveal a surprisingly uncommon way to finally make great money in the music business. This program explains the edits, lengths and sometimes complex details of preparing songs for the Production Music business. You'll understand how to craft your songs so the library you submit to will accept your music. For example, your songs need a quick and resolving ending. Long fade-outs make it hard for music editors to get a clean ending. Like to change keys? Think again. For the most part, changing keys makes it rough on the music editor, as they cannot easily splice together segments of your music if the keys jump all over. Learn what the industry standards are and get it right the first time. You never get a second chance at a first impression. If you send in music that is ready to go, you can sell it the same day and put some serious cash in your pocket ... thousands of dollars are totally possible.

But you write in an uncommon genre or style, you say? Great! Your music can be in ANY STYLE or genre and it can sell. There are no musical limitations with Production Music. Get creative. Have fun. Get into the Production Music business before everyone else with a home studio does. Now is most certainly the time! Jump on it.

Mix musical self-expression and financial freedom. Other people are doing it. It's your turn. Chill out in your home studio. Write music. Sell it. Get residual checks for years to come. You deserve it! Sound too good to be true? Well, it's true. This is how the Production Music business works.

Gear, gear and more gear! You know all that gear you buy? How about the gear you want to buy? These major expenses are part of the business and now that you're actually earning money from your music, you can finally feel good about getting more stuff that helps you get that certain sound you're after. Nice! Start making money from your musical investments. You'll get an introduction into recording your music and learn what programs and methods are commonly used in tracking Production Music. Your music MUST be broadcast quality, and with home studios costing less and less and sounding better and better, now is the time. You can do this.

Program Review: Write, Record & Sell Production Music

"Write, Record & Sell Production Music is your number one source for all the information that is needed to get you, the composer, started in a new musical endeavor called Production Music. As a musician and composer himself, Richard addresses the concern that many composers have when considering the selling of their own music. The book takes you thru the basic elements of the industry but always keeps you, the reader, in mind by explaining what you might come across and have to consider in each situation. Never forgetting the artists that we all are, the book also talks about the business side of production music and shows how you can make a living from writing, recording and selling your music. Have fun and good luck."

Program Review: Write, Record & Sell Production Music

"I am a professional composer/orchestrator/arranger and I want to let you know how much of a revelation your coursebook was on Production Music. I have always been interested in how the music you hear on TV, Radio, Film Trailers, Games, etc. was acquired. Most of my career has been spent with live stage music for the Musical Theatre, Stage Shows and some Classical/Symphonic work.

Your course explained, essentially, everything needed to get into the field. From the overview of Production Music itself, how libraries work and the various types, the kinds of deals available, the forms of payment and royalties, how to submit to libraries, and even the appropriate mentality or outlook, I feel the book is thorough and comprehensive. I particularly appreciated the segment explaining the parameters of how the music should be structured, what the libraries and music supervisors are looking for.

Of course, possibly the biggest value is the list of Production Music libraries. Honestly, this was what really convinced me to invest in the book. It would take a great deal of effort to compile this list without any real knowledge of the field. I actually visited every single site on the list (a few each night). I feel I came away from that experience with a very realistic sense of what the libraries carry and which ones might be right for me. In addition you have links to information about music supervisors and other industry resources.

I can honestly say that your coursebook is more than just a great introduction to Production Music. In fact, it is a step-by-step guide that shows you all you need to know to enter the field. I downloaded the book knowing virtually nothing and finished with a real sense of understanding what production music is and how to go about the attempt to enter the field. Well worth the investment."

Be Well,

About The Author

Richard Pryde Hughes III

Richard Pryde Hughes III
I was born in Las Vegas in 1972. The first song I ever remember hearing is The Beatles "Fixing A Hole." Lucky, I know. I got into music super young with Kiss being my first favorite band, mainly due to their killer look (and the times - it was the 70's!). I had plenty of "Tennis Racket Guitar" sessions in the music room listening to them. I then got deep into Rush and saw them at my first concert at the age of 8. A laser spectacular indeed. My dad was a major music enthusiast so I had plenty to listen to growing up. I started playing guitar at 14 and attended the guitar program at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles at the age of 17. After school I was in numerous bands in Las Vegas including Mama Zeus (Zeppelin influenced Rock), Automatic Taxi Star (Pop Rock) and The Side Room (Trip Hop). All my bands had quite different styles. I never got the record deal I was looking for and after buying home studio gear, I decided to write my own music, by myself. I ended up selling lots of it to a major Production Music library in 2006 and have been enjoying the fruits on my work ever since.

I also have a deep spiritual awareness and spend lots of time focused on growth, contribution, love, the identity (ego) and the nature of reality.

I truly hope my program serves you well and helps you realize your potential musically, spiritually and financially. I wrote it with one thing in mind; allow me to help others succeed in the music business.
