Music is an essential part of the education process, and students who are involved in any aspect of the music education are entitled to a well-rounded and enjoyable experience. The Music Department at Dickinson State University is designed to meet the needs and interests of all students who choose to be a functioning and productive part of it. Our main objective is to provide the opportunity for success as well as a personal appreciation for one or more of the many aspects of music. It is our goal that this appreciation begins in each musician’s career and is taken into the field of music education, performance, or the general workforce.
