Hugh McIntyre is a professional Music Journalist living and working in New York City. He covers the music industry, focusing primarily on charts, data, and the numbers that show what is the most popular and who is performing the best in the business. He mostly writes for Forbes, where he publishes several stories per day, on average.

In addition to his work in journalism, McIntyre has also worked extensively in the field of social media marketing, including organizing, writing, and executing campaigns for global brands, industry leaders and organizations in both the music and theater worlds. He is originally from Boston, MA where he grew up and went to college. He has earned a bachelor’s in marketing and a master’s in management.
